This is a brief guide to introduce you to the body's energy centers or chakras (wheel in Sanskrit). I will be adding information and meditations.

Each chakra has a corresponding color and body part. Different sources vary on the colors and gemstones associated with the chakras. This is the way I learned them from my shaman.

1st Root Chakra - Red - Calm and Ground Yourself
Corresponds to the groin area or the center of life. Located at the base of the spine. The gemstones include: bloodstone, garnet, red turquoise (in my chakra bracelet), and red jasper (in my Eartha Carnelian Bracelet).

2nd Sacral Chakra - Orange - Uplift and Energize Your Body
and Mind - Corresponds to the area below the navel. Relates to sexuality and emotions.
Gemstones include orange shades of carnelian, amber, citrine and topaz.

3rd Solar Plexus Chakra - Yellow - Boost Self-Confidence and Happiness - Corresponds to the area just below the ribs. Yellow represents vision, analytical thought and intellectual activity. It strengthens self-confidence, helps us to visualize a more positive outlook and is a symbol of hope.
Gemstones include: Amber, Ametrine, Yellow Apatite, Aragonite, Golden Beryl, Citrine, Chalcedony, Yellow Jade, Yellow Jasper, Moonstone, Peridot, Yellow Prehnite, Rutilated Quartz, Yellow Sapphire, Smokey Quartz, Sunstone, Tiger Eye, Yellow Topaz and Yellow Tourmaline.

4th Heart Chakra - Green - Love, Acceptance and Healing
Corresponds to the heart. Green represents calmess and healing.

6th Third Eye Chakra - Violet or Purple- Center of Physic Power and Higher Intuition. Corresponds to the center of the forehead.
Represents the search and attainment of spiritual purpose.
Gemstones include: Amethyst, Ametrine, Lepidolite and Sugilite.

7th Crown Chakra - White - or Violet - Enlightenment, Purity Corresonds to the crown or top of the head.
Gemstones include: Botswana Agate, White Agate, Amethyst, Ametrine, Angelite, Charoite, Citrine, Clear Quartz, Diamond, Lepidolite, Rutilated Quartz, White Sapphire, Sugilite and Tanzanite.
